Media Player

You can use Media Player to play audio, video, or animation files. It can also be used to control the settings for your multimedia hardware devices. This can be done by accessing the options available from the Device menu. The Media Player window is accompanied by a sliding scale. According to the type of media you are playing you can determine what you would like this scale to represent. You can choose from time in seconds, frames in a video, or animation file, or tracks on a CD. You can also place any of the file types supported by Media Player directly into another document from within the accessory. This is achieved by using the Edit/Copy Object command and then the Paste command in the target application. There are also buttons in the Media Player controls toolbar which enable you to select a portion of any file, with the aid of the sliding scale and copy just this section. All the features of the Media Player remain as they were in Windows 95.
